Indians as a whole like to see India a super power in the world scenario. I also often imagine India as a Powerful Country challenging the world powers in different decision makings.
In fact, India is a country controlled by corrupted politicians and spineless governments that would never allow the country to grow and rise and in my estimate take centuries to rise to power. India lacks very basic things and it would take years to develop and to stand in par with many other countries.

Let me state few small and big examples to show to the readers how poor India is and the country we imagine to be (would be) a super power....
It takes 3 hours to travel 100 KMs from Pollachi Tamil Nadu to Thrissur Kerala; not because of the quality of my car but due to the fantastic road we have. I usually take an alternative route that is 120 KMs just to avoid NH47 that cant be called National Highways at all. In the last two years I have never seen this road in good condition. Do you think our country has any chance of becoming a superpower in the future.... no way.
I curse every possible government official when I go to Coimbatore. The Echanari railway gate at Pollachi to Coimbatore road is closed nearly 15mts for a single train to cross and another 10 to 15 minutes blockage to cross the railway gate due to the number of buses, lorries and cars piled up both sides, all the more, the undisciplined superpower Indians try to compete one another in the narrow passage of the railway gate overtaking at their will blocking the road right and left. As my memory goes, in the year 1993 or 1994 I saw markings on the road for an over bridge at this place but has not materialized... imagine nearly 16 years.... It is not a village road but NH 209. Recently the over-bridge work has started and I am sure it will take more than a year (if we are lucky) to complete because we are aspiring to be a superpower.
Similarly I was caught up in the Thrissur – Shornur road near Vadakkancherry in a level crossing (the average waiting time would be 10 to 15 mts) and there are many stories behind why there is no over bridge ... Long live India the would be superpower in the year 2100....
We are proud of our IT technology and often beat the bush saying that the majority of the IT workers in America are Indians... what a shame... do we have any brand name in India except that we are slaves to American companies... If the Indian computer brain is sooooo gooood why do we talk about IBM, HP, Toshiba, Nokia, Samsung and the like why not some desi brands instead in the international market...
Now the Indian Politics... I am not very keen on politics and also have no affinity to any political parties. But from my little knowledge of political news let me say few things. Is there any political party in India that has no murderers, criminals as MPs and MLAs. Look at the recent scandal in India, the corruption and the swindling of public money by politicians and the people in power. I read a beautiful article on this topic in the NDTV website
The article narrates the Tamil nadu politics in this way: Tamil Nadu-based Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, or D.M.K., was once a liberation movement built on Tamil nationalism. But the party has largely jettisoned ideology.
An octogenarian, wheelchair-dependent patriarch named M. Karunanidhi and his plentiful and perpetually feuding progeny run it, and it more closely resembles a sprawling family business empire than a political party.

Remember Lalu who swindled Bihar for decades and still stood behind the podium and preached economics and management tactics ...
I often think, let us not imagine becoming superpower in the international scenario, rather let us become a country of comfortable living and corruption free governance first before thinking of superpower.
Long live India the superpower in the year 2100 ????.....
